Avril
is currently recording a track "What if she cheats" with Brian
Harvey (E17) for Clive Black at Edel with producer Billy Moss. Avril has
just completed work with producer Gregg Alexander (New Radicals) on the
third follow up single to Ronan Keating's No 1 hit "Rollercoaster"
entitled "I got my Heart on You" for Polydor Records and 3
tracks for Irish singer Carly Henessey's new album for MCA Los Angeles.
She is currently engineering and protools programming with Bryan Adams in
his new Studio on his own material and artists Bryan has been
producing/writing for; including the Kick Angels and Marie Wilson. Her
collaborations with Bryan Adams over the years illustrate Avrils' ability
to contribute to projects on a number of levels including engineering, pro
tools timing and tuning, and final mixing.
Avril is a specialist at
vocal recording and one of the top Pro Tools operators in the UK and owns
a state of the art Protools Mix Plus 24 Bit System. Her specialist skills
are currently in demand by Rob Dickens on his Instant Karma label for new
artist The Alice Band. She recently completed work with producer Simon
Clime for hotly tipped Sony Music artist Anastacia, and ex Eternal singer
Kelle Bryan. Other recent projects include engineering Roachford's new
single for Sony, and work on Martine McCutcheon for Innocent records. New
signings she has worked with in the last couple of months are Gramme, Mo
Solid Gold for Producer Steven Leroni, a mix of UK garage track "Bump
& Grind" by MDubs and Pop act Jody and Laina for Telstar. In 1999
Avril undertook the epic Millennium Dome Central Arena Show for Peter
Gabriel, the Mandalay album for Producer/Mixer Andy Bradfield and Robbie
Williams Live Slane Castle Concert amongst others.
Avril began her career at
Advision where notably she co-produced and engineered the Number One album
by Jimmy Somerville "Read My Lips". Moving to Mayfair Studios
she worked closely with producer luminaries such as Bob Rock and Bob
Clearmountain, with whom she worked on Bryan Adams "Waking up the
Neighbours" album. In 1993 Avril went freelance by engineering for
Ross Cullum on the Tori Amos "Under the Pink" album which
reached Number One in the charts. Avril has engineered for many top
producers including Ric Wake, Eric Rosse, Nik Kershaw and Hugh Jones. She
has worked with established artists including Mica Paris, for whom she
engineered and mixed the hit album "Black Angel", Dodgy, Howard
Jones and also newer artists such as Imogen Heap, Lynden David Hall,
Bully, Phil Campbell and Bloem de Ligny. Recently she has become more
involved in production work for new artists, Milki, (which she has also
co-written) and J.Stone for Albert Productions, and is part of
Writing/Production team White.
